1967 Mercedes 600 Short Wheel Base Limousine
p
+ This model was offered from late 1963 to 1981.
2190 were made during the run. In 1967 only 137 were produced.
+ 1967 Lincoln convertible ......$7,000

+The 600 was produced in two models....the short wheelbase limousine (this one) and a pullman, which was 3' longer. A limited number of the Pullmans had 6 doors.
The Odometer reads 43, 412 miles. I assume it to be correct, as I have owned it from the middle 80s and put only a few thousand miles on it.
There are 3 identifying plates mounted in front of the radiator:
Here are a few thumbnails... click on a picture to see a larger version.

I have 2 shop manuals for the car, plus the owner's manual.
The trunk compartment has a piece of carpet which probably is not original.
Included is the triangular warning sign with its case, and the tool case with most of the original tools. Also, the foam container with emergency parts....fan belt, points, etc., and the black box with the shims and wedges is mostly complete.
ONLY sedan ever made to carry 5 people in ULTIMATE comfort at 127 mph.
I am asking a nominal $28,000 for this very unique Mercedes....1 of 137 produced.
I want to emphasize that this is NOT a CONCOURS caliber automobile....but I am not asking a CONCOURS PRICE!.

Come see the car and judge for yourself! It is 25 miles west of Houston, TX.
The car has not been run in a couple years. We are just too involved with our Packards and other toys.
Unfortunately, there is only so many hours in a day, so we have begrudingly decided to find someone who will give this wonderful car the TLC it certainly deserves.

True Story.......
Several years ago I was waiting in the 600 outside the Neiman Marcus store in Houston.
A relatively new Rolls Royce pulled up along side. The driver rolled his window down.
"YOU have a VERY beautiful car!"

Needless to say, the 600 elicits continued RESPECT....
Movies that have used a 600 are:
The Witches of Eastwick with Jack Nicholson
Groundhog Day
Revenge of the Pink Panther
'10' with Dudley Moore and Bo Derek
and numerous others.....check them out at www.imcdb.org
Note that even films made into 2009 (Angels & Demons) have continued to use the 600 to exude affluence.
Oh yes, the flag holders in the top picture..... the previous owner had drilled holes in the bottom of the front bumpers to mount the flag supports.
Several interested individuals have asked for more pictures, so here is another set.
